Overflow Tap Product Artwork Requirements 🎨
Last updated: September 9, 2026
Looking to customize your Overflow Tap products with your church or organization's branding? Great choice! Here's everything you need to know to ensure your artwork looks its best when printed.
File Requirements 🖼️
To ensure high-quality printing, please provide your logo or design using the following specifications:
-
File format: Vector files are preferred.
- Accepted: .AI, .EPS, .SVG, or high-resolution .PDF.
- If a vector is not available, a high-resolution .PNG (at least 300 DPI with a transparent background) may be acceptable.
- Color mode: CMYK (for print).
- Minimum resolution: 300 DPI.
💡 Tip: Logos pulled from websites or screenshots typically aren't high enough quality for printing—please send the original design file if possible.
Design Guidelines 📐
- Centered design: For round products (like Tap Disc and Tap Plate), center your design and avoid critical details near edges.
- Simplicity is key: Clean, bold designs print best. Thin lines or very small text may not be visible on the final product.
- Transparent background preferred (unless you're including a full-color background as part of the design).
Size and Placement 📏
- Tap Disc: 4 inch (100 mm) diameter circular area. Leave a small margin (~0.125”) to avoid clipping.
- Other products: Use provided templates to size artwork correctly.
General Artwork Preparation (for all Tap products) ✅
Do:
- Edit and save your file in CMYK.
- Outline your text before saving (select all layers, click "type" in the menu, select "create outlines").
- Save as .AI and select "embed images" in the save menu.
- Delete the "artwork guidelines" and "example artwork" layers before saving.
Don't:
- Flatten your layers or image(s) before saving—it'll reduce your print quality.
- Add additional bleed or print/crop marks—just save your file to the template's size.
- Save a flattened PDF for final submission.
