💡 Why Some Imported Gifts Show as “Approved” Instead of “Paid Out”
Last updated: September 9, 2026
When reviewing your gifts in the Overflow dashboard, you may notice that some imported transactions are marked as “Approved” rather than “Paid Out.” This is expected behavior for gifts that have been brought in from previous giving platforms.
🧾 What “Approved” Means for Imported Gifts
Gifts imported from your former giving provider were already processed outside of Overflow. Because of this:
-
These gifts will not go through Overflow’s payout process.
-
Instead, they are marked as “Approved” to indicate that the gift has been successfully recorded and requires no further action.
Think of the “Approved” status as a confirmation that the gift is valid, complete, and safely logged within your Overflow records—it just didn’t originate through Overflow’s giving flow.
✅ No Action Needed
If you see a gift labeled “Approved” and know it was imported from a previous platform, rest assured—it’s all set. There’s no need to manually reconcile or adjust anything within Overflow.
