🔗 Avoiding Duplicate “https://” in Scheduled Update Links

Last updated: September 9, 2026

When setting up a Scheduled Update on your Tap dashboard, it’s important to make sure your link includes “https://” only once. Adding it twice can break the link and prevent it from working correctly.

🔍 What to Watch For

When you click into the Tap Link field while adding or editing a Scheduled Update, you’ll notice that “https://” is already pre-filled for you, like this:

So if you copy and paste a full link that already includes “https://”, it will result in a duplicate, like: https://https://yourlink.com/update, which won’t work when clicked.

✅ How to Fix It

Instead, just paste the rest of your link without the “https://” at the beginning. For example: yourlink.com/update. This way, the field’s built-in formatting will create the correct URL.

🔁 Example

Incorrect:

https://https://yourlink.com/update

Correct:

yourlink.com/update

If you’ve already added a link with a duplicate “https://,” simply click into the field, remove the extra portion, and save your changes.
