Pastor Asking for Last Week's Giving Report? We've Got You Covered!

If you’re new to Overflow and need to provide contribution reports to your Pastor, this guide is for you. You can easily find all the information you need on your Dashboard homepage!

Accessing Contribution Data

Homepage Overview

Your Dashboard homepage will display top giving metrics at a glance:

  1. Total Contributions

  2. Recurring Contributions

  3. One-Time Contributions

  4. Average Contribution Value

Custom Date Filters

If your Pastor needs data for a specific timeframe, you can use custom date filters.

  • Example: You can select the last 7 days, or choose any reporting period that works best for your needs (e.g., Monday–Sunday).

Sharing Data

Once you’ve adjusted the filters, it’s easy to share the information with your Pastor. For specific data, you can take a screenshot or simply share a link to the filtered view.

Confirmed Gifts

  1. Please note that the totals shown include only confirmed gifts.

  2. If you want to include pending contributions, we recommend using the Contributions table.

    • You can also apply filters, such as Date and Fund, to focus on the data you needed.

    • 🧮 At the top of the table, you’ll see the contribution total, along with the number of contributions and unique donors. (You can either take a screenshot or export the filtered table for your records.)

ACH Donations

ACH donations will only appear in Overflow after they've been fully confirmed.

  • ⚠ If a Pastor asks for a giving report on Monday while you’re still processing ACH donations, some contributions might not appear yet.

  • ✅ To make sure your weekly report includes all donations, it's best to check again on Tuesday once most ACH transactions have settled.
